Isn’t it great to have warm, springtime weather in Calgary? It’s great to see our neighbors and friends out working in their yards and on their properties. Over the past week the Rethink team has received several requests to provide consultations on insulating projects. From garages to new home builds and agricultural quonsets – property owners are getting those insulation improvements done! We’ll post photos and keep you up to date with our client projects!
We had a great turn out at the High River trade show! We met with many farm, home and business owners who are interested in applying spray-foam to their buildings, and will be busy meeting with these folks to discuss their projects over the next few weeks. Thank you to our colleagues and friends in the area who came out for a visit, it was a great two days!

Doesn’t it feel good to celebrate the first day of Spring? We think so! It also makes us feel good to see that Calgary has been ranked as the #1 place to live in Canada (by Moneysense magazine). The ranking was based on such data as employment, housing prices, crime, weather and household income. Click here to read more about the annual ranking. Happy first day of Spring!
Most of our customers’ projects will require high density foam. High density foam provides the following benefits:
- Reduces energy bills by up to 40%
- Does not settle, sag or deteriorate
- Expands and fills every space and crack preventing conditioned air from leaking out
- Stops air leakage in and out, and prevents pollutants, dust, and allergen infiltration
- Does not support mould and mildew
- With its sealing power foam reduces noise pollution
Rethink is happy to use high quality, proven CCMC certified foam for all of our clients’ projects. You can read more about high density foam on our “What You Need To Know” page, and you can get more information on the products we use by clicking here.
As the temperature warms and Spring gets closer, we are getting calls to provide quotes on garages, basement rim joints and extensions. Last week we provided a consultation for a home owner who is looking to have their enclosed back porch with hot tub insulated before Spring arrives! It’s great to see home owners invest in their properties!
BC can now claim it has a ‘zero energy’ home, thanks to Whistler resident Richard Wyne. As reported in the Globe & Mail, the home owner applied various energy saving practices including the use of spray-foam insulation. “I love that the home is comfortable and normal, while at the same time socially responsible…I believe we’ve demonstrated an ability to fulfill our moral environmental obligation without sacrificing our standard of living.” Click here to read more about this sustainable, healthy home!
